This appointment is a great move for the BRC. The industry has been and remains under immense pressure from all angles from the problem of shoplifting to an out of date rates system yet, day in day out, Britain’s shopkeepers open their doors and seek to serve as a vital component of the economy.

We hope the great experience, brilliant mind, and very likeable soul of Andy can galvanise the organisation to help the industry convince government and other key stakeholders of its vital role to the fabric of our urban landscape and economic interests so that it can fulfil its potential for all.
